The Bodoland Indigenous Games Association (BIGA), recognized by Sports and Youth Welfare, BTC (Assam) was formed in 2007 at Kokrajhar, the head quarter town of Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC), Assam (India) with a view to preserve, revitalize and to promote indigenous games being played by our forefathers since the time immemorial. The association was formed at the utmost efforts of late Ayung (Grand Master) Chanakya Brahma of Kokrajhar who worked and researched on different indigenous games played by the Bodo and other tribal communities over the last twenty five years.
